    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 gallon Jar made by Hamilton and Jones of Greensboro, Pennsylvania.


    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).


    Dating around 1870, this beauty features Top to Bottom Decoration.  From the top down are a stripe under the rim, a straight and squiggle stripe under the shoulder band, a row of freehand vining, the company advertising surrounding a freehand "3" capacity number, and a squiggle and straight stripe at the bottom to balance the ones at the shoulder.  Stands 13 3.4" tall.  


    Excellent Condition.  A little wear to the far right side of the vining.  That's it! No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
