Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Little 1 Gallon Jug made by "Hamilton & Jones, Greensboro, PA."

This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).

Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Brick Border at the Top, and the Company Advertising surrounding a Leaf and Framed by Leaves at the Bottom.  Complete and crisp stenciling in dark cobalt like we like it.  Stands 12" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A faint horizontal surface craze line on the shoulder on the left side (will not show only when wet).  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the shoulder and some scattered mottling in the clay in the making.
