Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 8" Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Hamilton & Jones."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a The Company Name Framing a Branch of a Rose Bush. Not a common decoration. Stands 8 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A few small chips on the inner rim and inside the outer rim (3/16" to pinhead-size), and two chips on the bottom of the left side (1/2", 3/4"). That's it! No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains. or restoration.
