    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "H. W. O'Brien & Co., 122 Seneca St., Buffalo, N.Y."


    From stamped examples, I know that it was made J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y. who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).  At the time of this listing, I have one signed example in stock.


    Dating around 1880, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp and Four Lines of Freehand Cobalt Script Advertising. Stands 11 1/4" tall.


    Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the back of the spout.  The handle has been neatly broken off in two pieced and been reglued (closeup).  No base chips, or any body hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
