    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Wax Sealer Canning Jar made and stamped by "H. H. Melick, Roseville, O."


    This is the work of Henry Harrison Melick who potted in Roseville from at least 1860 to the end of the century (James L. Murphy's Checklist of 19th-Century Bluebird Potters and Potteries in Muskingum County, Ohio, pp. 289-91).


    Dating around 1880, this beauty featues the Wax Sealer Form, Gray Salt Glaze, and a Clear Pottery Stamp.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  Chips around the inner rim and two outside the rim (1/8", 3/8").  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
