Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Canning Jar made for "Quality Gelfand's Products" of Baltimore, Maryland.
The partial label on the back indicates that this jar was used for Mayonnaise.
As the lid indicates, this jar was made by the Western Stoneware Company of Monmouth, Illinois. The Western Stoneware Company was in operation from 1906.
Excellent Condition. A series of chips inside the rim (1/16" to 1/2"), three minor pinhead-size nibbles outside the rim, and a 1" hairline on the left side at the bottom that wraps under 2" (very faint). Two adjacent 3/8" chips on the back at the bottom appear to be in the making. The lid has two chips inside the outer fold on the underside (3/8", 1/2"). No hairlines.
