Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Stoneware Lidded Batter Jug.
The decoration makes it easy to attribute this beauty to the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey.
Dating around 1900, this piece features the Fulper Cobalt Bird on a Branch Decoration. Appears to have the original lid. Stands only 4 3/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. Wear around the top of the rim. Chipping on the seating ring inside by the handle and glaze loss there, inside by the spout, and inside at the bottom that appears to be mainly in the manufacture where the glaze did not take (closeups). No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The lid has two 1/4" chip and a 3/8" ping line between them on the outside edge.
