    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Fort Edward Pottery Co."


    This is the stamp of George A. Satterley who ran a pottery in Fort Edward, New York under this stamp from 1859-1861 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, 2nd ed., p. 248). 


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Large and Gorgeous Basket of Flowers that fills the Front!   The handled basket containsl all kinds of blossoms, leaves, tendrils, and buds!  Expertly executed with a slip cup in the New York and Vermont tradition. A great example of folk art.  Measures 13 1/2" tall and wide across the top.  


    Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake outside the rim, a 1/2" chip on the underside of the right handle, and some waterglass staining inside with some traces outside.   That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  


    Great large size with large size decoration!
