    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "F. T. Wright & Son, Taunton, Mass." 


    This is the mark of the Franklin T. Wright and his son who ran their pottery from 1866 to the 1870's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 50).


    This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Large Swirl Floral in Freehand Cobalt Blue.  The floral is extended at the top with 7 dots and overall measures 11"!  Stands 13 3/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/4" chip on the back near the bottom.  That's it!  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A stone ping on the top of the handle, left side of the spout, and two to the right of the decoration in the making.
