Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "F. H. Cowden, Harrisburg."

This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden who ran the company with this stamp from 1880-1888. (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58)

This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and one of this pottery's signature decorations, a Stenciled Cobalt Snowflake in Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  The decoration within the snowflake is very elaborate and attractive.  The stencil is crisp and complete too!  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on top of the spout on the right side, a 1/4" flake at the base, and some very light staining from use.  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
