    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "F. H. Cowden, Harrisburg."


    This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden who ran the company with this stamp from 1880-1888 (For more on this pottery, see Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Very Elaborate Snowflake Decoration in Shiny Cobalt.  The stencil is detailed and complete.  Thick glaze.  Measures  8 1/2" tall and 10" wide across the top.


    Excellent Condition. A 3/8" chip on the left side at the bottom, and quarter-sized stain on the back.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
