Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by the "Frank B. Norton & Co., Worcester, Mass."

This is the mark of Frank Norton and Frederick Hancock who operated the pottery in Worcester using this stamp from 1858-1877 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Big, Bright and Beautiful Bird on a Branch Decoration.  The artistry is superb and the cobalt will overwhelm your senses.  This version of a bird on a branch is uncommon on Norton stoneware.  Stands 12 1/2" tall.
