Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Small 1 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "F. B. Norton & Co., Worcester, MA."

This is the work of Frank Norton and Frederick Hancock who made stoneware in Worcester using this stamp from 1856-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Stylized Floral in Bright Cobalt Blue.  Cobalt does not get much better!  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A 5/8" chip on the underside near the edge in the back.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A stone ping on the left side and a couple faint firing lines on the bottom in the making.
