    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Frank B. Norton & Co., Worcester, Mass."


    This is the mark of Frank Norton and Frederick Hancock who operated the pottery in Worcester using this stamp from 1858-1877 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).


    This beauty features an Exceptional Small Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Stylized Swirl Floral that Fills the Front.  Measures 7 1/4" tall and 8" wide across the top.


    This small 1 gallon size with decoration is a great size for decorating because it fits in small spaces, even on a shelf in a display.  


    Excellent Condition.  A water glass ring inside, a 1/4" chip inside the rim, and a 1/4" flake on the right handle.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Two 1/4" clay voids on the front rim and some fine bubbles in the cobalt in the making.
