Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Extremely Rare Low Jar from New York City.


Circa 1800, this beauty features the Rare Squatty Form, Open Handles, Incised Decoration with Cobalt Fill on Each Side, and Cobalt Accent at the Handle Terminals.  A seldom seen form in early American stoneware.  Stands 5 3/4" tall and 7" wide across the base.


Very Good Condition.  Two narrow 1/2" chips inside the rim, five chips outside the rim on one side (3/8" to 3/4"), and a faint 3" line below one handle that only partially shows inside (closeup- darker line).  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
