    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 9" Stovepipe Wax Sealer made by "Excelsior Works, Isaac Hewitt, Rices Landing, PA"


    Hewitt ran his pottery in the 1860's and 1870's.


    This beauty has the Cylindrical Stovepipe Form with Tooled Wax Sealer Top, and the Company Advertising Stenciled in a Diagonal Halfway Around the Jar.   Stands 9" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Five small chips on the inner rim and inside the outer rim (1/8" to 1/4"), and four chips outside the rim (1/4" to 1/2"). A surface-only inverted "U" ping on the rim on the left side (closeup).  No base chips, hairlines cracks, stains, or restoration.
