Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 9 1/2" Gaudy Ironstone Plate made by Edward Walley of the Villa Pottery, Cobridge, England. The bottom stamp indicates manufacture in 1857.
The plate also falls under the categories of cooper luster and flow blue.
This beauty features Handpainted Flowers, Vines, and Dangling Blackberries. Gold Trim at the edge. Meatuers 9 1/2" in diameter.
Excellent Condition. Little evidence of use. Virtually no wear to the decoration. A few light utensil marks. Would be hard to find a better example.
