    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar with Exquisite Decoration. 


    This is attiributed to Edward and Thomas Edmands who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1852-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).


    This beauty features a Fine Detailed Floral Executed with Precision using a Slip Cup.  Curly leaves circular blossoms, dots and dashes-- all in rich and shiny cobalt!  More effort than usual was expended to create such a wonderful design.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.


    Very Good  Condition.  A small y-shaped surface line in the upper left leaf (closeup) and a stain on the right side.  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
