Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Early 2 Gallon Ovoid Jar from the Northeast.
Dating to the early 19th century, this beauty features an Ovoid Form, Heavily Tooled Shoulder, Rounded Footer, and Impressed Florals on Each Side. The front sports a plant with two impressed blossoms with cobalt highlight around the edge poised on a brushed cobalt stem with lots of leaves. The back sports three impressed flowers with cobalt highlight at the edge. Additional cobalt at the handle teminals. Stands 10 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some thin water glass rings inside from use. A 1/2" surface horizontal ping line on the top of the rim and some chips around the footer. That's it! No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Superficial 3" drying line inside in the making.
