    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Cute Little 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "E. Norton & Co., Bennington, VT ."


    This is the mark of Edward Norton who ran the Norton Pottery in Bennington from 1881-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 43-44).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, a Freehand Cobalt Leaf, and a Tiny 1 Gallon Size so Useful for Display.  The cobalt is shiny and really stands out too!  Measures 6 3/4" tall ad 8 1/4" wide across the top.


    Excellent Condition.  Three minor 1/8" nibbles on the bottom near the edge, and a few small rust stains from use.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
