Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Jar made for the merchant, "E. B. Taylor, Richmond, VA."
This beauty was made by A. P. Donaghho of Parkersburg, W.V. Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg from 1874-1900.
This jar features the Stenciled Advertising at the Top, a "Zipper" or "Tire Tread" Decoration in the Middle, and the Capacity Number within Another Zipper on the Bottom. All the decoration is crisp and in dark and rich cobalt! Stands 15 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 3/4" chip on the underside at the edge and a couple faint stain runs. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
