Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "E. A. Mantell, Olean, N.Y."


This is the stamp of Edwin A. Mantell who made pottery in Olean from 1969-1874 (William A. Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 73). 


Dating to just after the Civil War, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and Three Tulips Nestled in a Bed of Leaves.  Measures 9 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.


Excellent Condition.  Some overall light staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlnes, cracks, or restoration.
