Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Decorated Stoneware 11 3/4" Crock Lid.
The distinctive shape makes it easy to attribute this lid to William and Charles Wingender of Haddonfield, N.J. They ran the pottery in Haddonfield from 1883 to 1923.
This beauty features an X on the Knob and Four Freehand Florals around the Edge. A recessed center on the top creates a solid seating ring on the underside-- a Wingender distintive. Measures 11 3/4" in diameter and fits in a crock with an opening of at least 10".
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip and 1/2" ping on the edge, and two minor chips on the underside at the edge (1/4", 3/8"). That's it! No other chips or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
