    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "Cowden & Wilcox, Harrisburg, PA."


    This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden and Isaac Wilcox who ran the pottery in Harrisburg with this stamp from 1863 to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58).


    This beauty features the Cream Pot Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  The flower has 6 leaves and a blossm with 3 petals.  Bright cobalt throughout the decoration.   Measures 7 3/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide across the top.


    Good Condition.  Five chips on the rim (1/4" to 3/8"), a flake at the base (1/4"), a small surface X on the left side, and some staining around the top.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
