• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Quart stamped "Cortland."


    This is the stamp of Madison Woodruff who ran the pottery in Cortland from 1849-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).


    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and "Four Quarts" in Script Across the Front." Measures 8 1/2" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Two small chips on the inner seating ring (1/8", 1/4"), and a 1/2" chip on the outside of the rim in the back.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some bubbles in the cobalt in the making.
