Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped for "J. P. Convers & Co., Dealers in Dry Goods, Groceries, & Provisions, Windsor Locks, Conn."

Dating around 1865, this beauty features Four LInes of Impressed Advertising with Cobalt Wash and a Gorgeous and Fancy Double Floral Executed with a Slip Cup.  The floral sports many fine leaves and two elaborate, circular blossoms.  Measures 9 1/2" tall and 10" wide.

I rarely find stamped merchant stoneware from Connecticut, especially this nice.

Very Good Condition.  A 2" hairline from the rim to the right handle as shown. That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some bubbles in the cobalt on the upper right of the decoration in the making.
