Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual 8 1/4" Stoneware Jar with Dangling Tulips from Baltimore, Maryland.
Dating around 1870, this beauty features a carefully tooled rim with an unusual garland of three units of upward and downward turned comma vining, each hosting a dangling tulip. This is not a typical configuration of decoration which is unfortunate because it works so well! Stands 8 1/4" tall.
Excellent condition. A faint 3" hairline on the bottom (closeup). No chips, side hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
A very decorative small size jar with "out of the box" decoration.
