Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Fancy Yellow Ware Umbrella Stand.
Circa 1900 and probably made in Ohio, this beauty features a Pinched Opening with Rolled Rim, Slightly Hourglass Shape with Four Embossed Panels, and a Footer with Embossed Florets Above. Blue sponging throughout and gold trim top and bottom. Stands 15" tall.
As well as being an umbrella stand, t is small enough to also be used as a vase on a larger surface.
Excellent Condition. Minor quarter-size surface-only crow's foot on the bottom, and some wear to the overlaid gold trim. Overall fine crazing of age. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Two 1/4" stone pings on one side in the making (picture 4).
