    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwest Pennsylvania.

     

    The decoration indicates that it was a product of Greensboro, Pennsylvania-- either Hamilton and Jones or James Hamilton.  

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form, a Two Top Stripes, an Emblem Stenciled on a Diagonal in the Middle, and a Bottom Stripe.  Bold freehand and complete stenciling in pretty cobalt on a light gray clay background for maximum visual impact.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A  few minor nibbles inside the outer rim and a small stain on the back.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
