Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar from West Virginia.


Judging from the color of the clay and the decoration, I would say this jar comes from Palatine (Fairmont) or Shinnston. 


Dating around 1880, this beauty features Top to Bottom Squiggle Stripes:  One at the Top, Two Framing the Capacity Number, and Two More on the Base.  Stands 11 1/4" tall.


Excellent Condition.  Some surface scratches from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
