Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Unusual 1 Gallon Stoneware Crock from Ohio.
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features a Freehand Capacity Number Framed by Dashes and a Hand Pointing to the Right!  The hand even has 6 fingers!  All the decoration was executed with a slip cup in bright cobalt blue.  Measures 9 1/4" tall and 9" wide across the top.
 
Fair to Good Condition.  A 5" tight crack on the left side that wraps under 5", and some staining around the rim.  No rim or base chips, or restoration.
