Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this most unusual 2 Gallon Crock with Folky Flower.
Circa 1880 and hailing from the Midwest, this beauty features a "2" Capacity Number Flanked by Horizontal Lines with Four Dots Above and Five Below, and a Flower with Four Leaves on their Sides with a Loopy Stem running to a Blossom with Four Petals. Strong cobalt throughout the decoration. Folky!
Curious-- what do you suppose the precise dot count on either side of the capacity number signifies?
