Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 8" Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwest Pennsylvania.
The decoration indicates that it was a product of Greensboro, Pennsylvania-- either Hamilton and Jones or James Hamilton.
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form, and Two Top and One Bottom Stripe that Frame a Double Emblem. Typically only one emblem is found on these jars. Complete stenciling in pretty cobalt on a light gray clay background. Stands 8" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. A kiln touch on the left side at the bottom in the making.
