    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwest Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro).


    Circa 1870, this beauty was made with the glacial clay found along the Monongahela River near New Geneva, Pennsylvania.  This clay fired a wonderful light gray.  Unfortunately this lighter clay it was quickly depleted.


    This Sealer is a Gallon Size with Tooled Rim and 5 Shiny Cobalt Stripes on the Light Gray Glaze for a Very Pleasing Contrast.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.  


    Very Good Condition.  A surface-only vertical line on the right side toward the back (closeup).  Does not go through.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
