Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 2 Gallon Butter Crock from West Virginia, possibly Palatine (Fairmont).


Dating around 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim Grooved for Tying Down a Paper or Cloth Cover, and Three Freehand Cobalt Stripes down the Front with a "2" Capacity Number Flanked by Dashes between the Top Two Stripes.  Measures 9" tall by 9 1/2" wide.


Exceptional Condition. As made.  No damage of any kind.  Some faint glaze runs and spatters in the making.
