Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Unusual Stoneware Jar whose origins are hard to identify, but I am attributing it to Virginia.

Dating around 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim and Vining of Differet Types on Each Side.  The decoration is executed in freehand with attractive cobalt.  Stands 9" tall.

Very Good Condition.  A flat 1/2" chip on the very top of the rim, a 3/8" flake on the size of the rim.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch and slight indentation on each side in the making.
