    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 10" Decorated Jar.

    This is the work of Richard Remmey who made stoneware in Philadelphia at the family pottery from the 1860's to the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-9). 
    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim and Four Brushed Cobalt Leaves around the Center.   Eight brushstrokes of cobalt for each leaf.  Stands 10" tall.


    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Some glaze crazing and a slight flat spot on the side in the making.
