    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 8" Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwest Pennsylvania.


    The decoration indicates that it was a product of Greensboro, Pennsylvania-- either Hamilton and Jones or James Hamilton.  


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form, a Top Stripe, and an Emblem Stenciled on a Diagonal.  Complete stenciling in pretty cobalt on a light gray clay background.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  An 1/8" nibble on the inner rim, and four small chips on the bottom fold of the tooled rim (1/8" to 1/4").  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
