    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 8" Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.


    This beauty was made around 1870 and features the Wax Sealer Form, Light Gray Clay, and Five Freehand Cobalt Stripes Down the Front.  The cobalt really stands out on the light gray clay for super contrast.  Stands 8" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips on the inner rim. That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restortion.  An 1/8" clay void to the left of the upper stripe, and a 1/4" flake on bottom ring of the tooled rim on the right in the making. 


    A stellar example!
