    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Tall 2 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher from Southwestern Pennsylvania. 


    Circa 1870, this beauty features the Unusual 2 Gallon Size with Squared Rim, Tall Neck, Banded Shoulder, and Two Rows of Freehand Cobalt Vining in the Neck and One on the Body that is Underscored with a Inscribed Cobalt Stripe.  Stands 14" tall.  


    Good Condition.  Minor chips around the rim.  Restoration to the tip of the spout (closeup 1), and some surface restoration on the lower right front not visible inside (closeup 2).  Staining from use.  No base chips, hairlines, or cracks.
