Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar.  
 
Its shape, decoration and heft indicate that it was made in Beaver, Pennsylvania.  
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Thick Rim with Inner Lid Seating Ring, and a Pointed Shoulder Stripe with the Capacity Number with Accents Found Above and Below it.   Stands 11" tall.
 
Very Good Condition. A 1" chip on the rim in the back with a 3" hairline below it.  No inner rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
