Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Butter or Cake Crock from Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Wide Rim for Tying a Cover over the Top, Molded Shoulder Ridge, and a Brushed Cobalt Double Tulip Decoration with additional Accents at the Handle Terminals. The floral has 10 leaves and two blossoms with 6 petals each. Lots of freehand decoration for the front of a butter/cake crock. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 11 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 5/8" chip above and small stain below each handle. That's it! No innner or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
