Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim with Cobalt Stripe, Ringed Shoulder with an Undulating Vine with Tulip Resting Upon it, and a Freehand Capacity Number Flanked by 2 Stripes on Each Side and One Below. The cobalt is bright and shiny and liberally applied. Stands 11 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A faint X on the bottom from being slightly convex in the making, with a faint 3" line to the left of the decoration (closeup). No rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
