Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon 1 1/2" Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer from Southwestern Pennsylvania.


Dating to 1870, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form with Three Cobalt Stripes Evenly Spaced Down the Front.  Most unusual is the size-- 1 1/2 gallons.  10" tall and 7" wide across the bottom.  Really makes a statement!


Excellent Condition.  Two 1/8" nibbles on the inner rim, and a narrow 3/4" chip inside the top rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Slightly convex on the bottom in the making.


If you collect stripers, this one will add some variety to your lineup.
