Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Decorated 1 Gallon Jar.
 
The form, heft, and decoration indicate that this jar was probably made in Beaver, Pennsylvania. 
 
Circa 1865, this beauty features a Tooled Rim that will Take a Lid, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip in Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  The tulip has a leaf, bud, and blossom with three petals.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Heavy, even wear around the inner seating ring and top of the rim, a two 3/16" flakes inside the rim.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
