    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Churn from Ohioj.


    The form, color, heft, and decoration indicate that it was made in the Akron area about 1860.


    This beauty features a Tall and Narrow Form, Brim Rim, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip with 13 Leaves and a Blossom with 5 Petals.  Warm gray salt glaze with bright and rich cobalt decoration for maximum contrast.  Stands 17" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles on the seating ring and rim.  Two larger 1/2" chips inside the rim and four 1/4" chips outside the rim, and a few small and light stains from use.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
