    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jar attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr. of Manhattan, New York.  


    Clarkson Crolius Sr. made pottery in New York from 1800 to 1838 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 62).


    Circa 1820, this beauty features the Ovoid Form, Tooled Rim, and a Freehand Cobalt Drape around the Shoulder.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip iside the rim and a 3/4" outside the rim.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A shallow 2" drying line inside in the making.
