    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jar attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr. of Manhattan, New York.  


    Clarkson Crolius Sr. made pottery in New York from 1800 to 1838 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 62).


    Circa 1810, this beauty features the Ovoid Form, Tooled Shoulder, and a Freehand Cobalt Dotted Drape around the Shoulder.  It repeats itself 7 times.  Stands 10 14" tall.


    Good Condition.  Chips around the rim and footer as shown.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
