Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Butter Crock made for the merchant, "C. H. Torsch, Balto, Md."

Charles Torsch was a prominent merchant in Baltimore, Maryland.

This beauty was made by A. P. Donaghho of Parkersburg, W.V. Donaghho who ran his pottery in Parkersburg from 1874-1900.

This crock features the Merchant Advertising in Cobalt Stenciled Across the Front. The stencil is complete and executed in strong cobalt. A nice light clay makes for a wonderful contrast with the lettering. Measures 7 1/2"" tall and 11" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition. Some minor nibbles and a 5/8" chip inside the rim, and a couple small and light stains outside. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
