• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Salt Glaze Jug made and stamped "Charlestown."


    This is the work of Edward and Thomas Edmands who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1852-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Brushed Cobalt Flower with Large Blossom and Two Leaves. The blossom had 7 petals and the leaves have 3 sections each. Stands 14 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition. Two chips on the front bottom (1" on the side and 1/2" underneath), and some very very faint staining.  That's it! No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
